Allyson, thank you for attending and answering the many questions my neighbors
and I had last week regarding the Golden Gate Condominium project. Our family
has been home owners in the Loyal Garden subdivision for three years. Below are
our concerns and non-support of the current design of the Golden Gate Condominium
project.
As we understand, the Loyal Garden HOA letter of support received by the
developer is not representative of the Loyal Garden HOA. The Loyal Garden HOA
(based on Nov and Dec HOA meeting minutes) never received notice of a vote on
this project. As Loyal Garden HOA members, we not in support of this
development project. Our family was informed of this project the weekend of
January 9th, even though the sale of the property happened in December.
We are writing to express our absolute non-support for the proposed
"condominiums" (apartment buildings) designed to be built in the north part of
the Loyal Garden sub-divisionin the R-4 zoned file# 15531.
We are asking for the design and proposed 5 building, 3 stories high 84 units
project to be redesigned to reflect the character of Loyal Garden.
Loyal Garden is a sub division with the majority of homes being single family
dwellings. Our neighborhood home owners have created a family friendly
environment made up of young families to retirees. Currently our neighborhood
is safe for children to play at the playground, ride their bikes and scooters.
It is also safe for them to walk to and from the bus stop. With the addition
of the 84 unit project there will be a drastic increase of vehicles and traffic.
Leading to unsafe roads for pet owners, children walking and riding, children
walking to and from school.
There needs to be a re-design of the project so the Loyal Garden neighborhood
character remains the same or is enhanced. An 84 unit project will neither
support or enhance the current character of the neighborhood.
Please accept this letter as written representation of our anger over the
proposed Golden Gate Condominium project in the Loyal Garden sub-division.
