Regarding the Golden Gate Condominiums (Development Pending)
r
Hello.
F
f
I'm a resident of Loyal Gardens and have recently been made aware of the proposed
development. I don't know if any of you have gone to the property in question but I hope that
you have because you will have seen that the proposed buildings are going to create some
serious problems.
As of today there are several feet of snow on the property and when it and the snow from the ['
properties to the south melt, the land where the proposed development is to be built is going to
be very wet indeed. Put buildings and parking lots on that property and there will be serious
flood possibilities.
The numbers of cars that will be generated from the occupants of the proposed development c
are going to exceed the available parking spaces. Where are the additional vehicles going to
park? On Golden Gate? If you look at the area you will see that the snow removal has been
quite difficult with only one or two cars parked on the north side of the street during the holiday
season. If both sides of the street are filled with cars from the proposed development, snow
removal will be very difficult and the traffic will be a very serious problem.
The questions regarding adequacy of schools, school buses, are best questioned and answered
by the local school administrators. It is a question that should, however, be seriously
considered since an additional 500 or 600 possible new residence will undoubtedly have a high
proportion of school age children.
I'
The proposed development should be rejected and the property be developed in a more
reasonable, lower density, fashion.
c,
Sincerely,
