of working on the striping plan. It may be incorporated with the transportation plan. The
transportation plan update includes more infrastructure for bikes/pedestrians. Rebecca:
Nationwide data shows that bigger cities are investing more in bicycles and realizing that more
people are using bikes as transportation.
F. Bike Safety Outreach/Education–
· Subcommittee on Safety Outreach/Education‐ Mike and Sam: No updates
· High School Drivers Education‐ Jen: There will be another class at the end of the

· High School Bike Week Involvement‐ Juliana. Mr. Fulton, a BHS math teacher, has
agreed to sponsor the club. They have met for a few group rides, have had a few weekly
meetings, and have advertised on the BHS weekly TV program. Goals: They want to help
with BHS bike racks, move them and get more racks, apply for grants for different racks
(Corra racks) for next year. They are getting funding for bike week by requests for
donations on the BHS weekly TV program. They are also asking for donations for student
prizes for bike week. The BHS bike week will be the same week as the city bike week (May
11‐15) and safe rides to schools for bike week will include rides from coffee shops back to
the high school. Juliana needs bike maps to give out to students. They have asked BYI for
funds and it was suggested that they try asking BYEP.

April. The website is a work in progress. Rebecca will give Zach more info about task force
to join meetings.
· Can we use short bike films educating people? Filmed by Bike is based out of Portland,
OR: Filmedbybike.org. It has some great short films including: Bike Love, Advocacy Shorts
and Adventure Shorts. BABAB would probably be interested in showing the Advocacy
Shorts. There is a $3.95 fee or $200 for the series (no charge to people, DVD to show). We
would still need a venue & money. Daniel will call the Procrastinator or Ellen Theatre.
