The bike count will take place Tuesday‐Thursday, September 9th‐11th, 5‐7 pm. Petra is still looking for a
few volunteers. There will be a Question/Answer session at Courthouse on Monday, September 6‐7 pm
in the lobby. We discussed adding a future spot at Bridger Canyon and Story Mill. If extra board
member volunteers are not needed for existing intersections on survey, Brian Hughes may be able to
count at this location. The City will help compile the data from the surveys this year. Next year, we can
look into using a smartphone application to assist with the counting.

Results from the bicycle friendly designation application for MSU will be back in October and they plan
to use the feedback for improvements. Potential upcoming projects: bike fix‐it‐stations, educational
incentives. Bike valet parking is being incorporated this year at football games. They are looking for a
new MSU Bike Coordinator to replace Petra in December. This person would also sit on BABAB. Let Petra
know if you have anyone in mind that might be interested in the position.
Petra will also be teaching bike safety to her MSU for credit spinning class and hopes it will used in
future classes.
MSU will have an upcoming Bike to School Day September 24th from 10am ‐ 2pm, with October 1st
being an alternative rain day. She will keep us updated as needed.
* Bike safety PSA update
John Van Delinder will ask Snow Creative to make an informational video on sharrows to go out to the
public.
G. Bike Week 2015 –start plan for prizes/incentives – Jessie May.
Jessie May will draft letter to major sponsors asking for prizes in October. There will be two window
displays that will need subcommittee members to design the windows starting in January or February.
This doesn’t have to be BABAB members and we may be able to recruit others from the GVBC or our list
serve. If anyone gets donations for bike week prizes, Jessie May can help with storage.
Discussions: Should we ask businesses to submit proposals to host bike week stops? We could ask
businesses that have hosted in the past to take over staffing so that the board can help out at other
venues in order to be able to expand. Should we add a fall event in September/October?
