SUBJECT: Baxter/Davis Intersection Improvements Project - Amendment No. 2.
MEETING DATE: November 2nd, 2015
AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent
RECOMMENDATION: Approve and authorize City Manager to sign Amendment No. 2 with
Robert Peccia and Associates.
BACKGROUND: Attached is a copy of the partially executed Amendment No. 2 with Robert
Peccia and Associates for the Baxter/Davis Intersection Improvements Project. The document is
in the City’s standard format.
The scope of the project was limited to the improvements to the intersection of Baxter and Davis.
This amendment will add two sections of Baxter Lane to the project. The unfinished portion of
the roadway between Davis and 19th will be added to the construction project for the intersection
improvements. This will complete Baxter Lane from 19th to Ferguson Avenue. The design for
the unfinished roadway sections between 7th and 19th, including the 7th/Baxter and 7th/19th
intersections will also be completed with this amendment. The section from 7th to 19th will be
bid as a separate project.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission
FISCAL EFFECTS: $165,585 from the Street Impact Fee, Community Transportation Funds
and Arterial/Collector funding.
