Message: Dear Mr.Krauss, It has been brought to our attention that the current speed limit on
Frontage Road of 50mph maybe increased back to 60mph.We are requesting for your
consideration, that between the start of Frontage road coming off the 7th ave. bridge towards
Cherry Creek Preserve, to the busy intersection of Frontage Road and Springhill be reduced to
45mph. This designated corridor has seven(7) houses that the driveways directly impact Frontage Road. There are children living in these houses as well as school buses stopping in this corridor.
Futhermore, the highway patrol have their home base situated here. There are a few commercial
properties that directly impact this road, which included a tree nursery, and a busy gas station. In
the future this area will grow only causing further need for a reduced speed. Over the twenty(20)
plus years that we have resided at our residence we have had numerous cars run off the road on our property do their inability to stop in a controlled manner, This mostly occurred due to high
speed, weather conditions and animals. This riparian area on Frontage Road is home to a great
abundance of wildlife. The wildlife, mostly deer, often cross this corridor, however bears, moose
and elk have occasionally frequented the area as well. Thank you for attention to this matter.
