Firefighters responded to a repl>rt of a 16 year old girl who had been involved in a 20.30 foot fall behind
the M.S.U. Fieldhouse. Upon arrival, firefighters found a 16 and an 18 year old girl who had sustained
lower back and tailbone injuries after falling from the roof of the inflatable tennis court at M.S.U. The 18
year old girl also injured her right wrist in the fall. Firefighters took vitals and helped Med- Trans
personnel package and load the patients for transport to the hospital,

Incident Narrative: Bozeman firefighters responded to a report of a fire alarm going off at I.C.
Billion car dealership. Upon arrival firefighterS found no fire and were
informed by a shop employee that a smoke detector had gone off when he
started the engine of the car he was working on. The employee felt that the
detector may have been activated by fresh paint on the engine burning off as
the engine heated up. The smoke detector was not going off upon firefighters
arrival.

Episcopal Church. An investigation indicated it was an alarm. malfunction.
Rev. John McGrory assisted us in a walk through the building. The alarm
company was called and they indicated their system was still showing a
problem. Rev. McGrory stated he was going to call the maintenance people in
the morning an have the system worked on. .

Incident Narrative: Bozeman Fire Department was dispatched to Kegy & Highland where a small
trencher had fallen oft' a trailer. Approximately two gallons of tranSmission
fluid leaked form the machine and was lying in the gutter. Fire department
personnel used 6 bags of Kitty Litter to absorb the fluid The owner of the
trencher stated he would sweap the fluid and Kitty Litter up with in twenty-
four hours.

Inddent Narrative: Bozeman Firefighters responded to a report of a suspicious odor at Northern
Energy. Nothing found upon investigation. but did notice the odor while
responding west on Griffin Drive. Firefighters returned to Rutledge
Distributing for further investigation of the odor. No leaks were detected after
several minutes and Bozeman Police officers advised Firefighters that they
would patrol the area throughout the night.

Incident Narrative: Montana Highway Patrol requested our assistance at a traffic a<:cident
involving an overturned boat and a pickup truck. We were notified of the
accident approximately 25 minutes after the fact. We requested Gallatin
Gateway Fire to respond as mutual aid. Upon arrival, we had Gallatin
Gateway foam the area and inst:ru<:ted the towing company to lift the boat. It
was placed on a flat bedtrock and removed from the scene. We applied a
hydrocarbon emulsifier to the spill (approximately 10 gallons) to remove the
hazard. No fuel entered the river.

Incident Narrative: Bozeman Firefighters were called by a resident at 918 South Black reporting a
gas smell. Firefighters found a strong gasoline smell and oil slick on the river
behind the owners home. Firefighters traced the smell to a street drain 2
blocks away. An investigation found a resident in the area had drained his
truck gas tank and the gas bad flowed down into the river. The owner of the
truck was told not to drain gasoline into storm drains because the run off goes
into the river and he could be held accountable for environmental damage.
Firefighters used a fire hydrant to flush out the system.

Bozeman firefighters responded to a report of a two vehicle collision with unknown injuries at North
22nd and West Durston. Upon arrival they found one vehicle on its side in the ditch with both passengers
out, and the other vehicle's driver was out of her vehicle also. A 17 year old male was checked out by
firefighters, police, and ambulance personnel and was transported to the hospital by private vehicle. A IS
year old female was checked out and transported by ambulance to the hospital suffering from a
laceration, bumps, and bruises. The driver of the other vehicle did not go to the hospital.
