a report of a possible chimney fire. On arrival fire personnel found that the
occupants of the ~lling started a fire in their stove, but forgot to open the
dampener to the stack. No damage was reported.

Bozeman Firefighters responded to a report of a man having difficulty breathing. Upon arrival Firefighters
found a 57 year old male experiencing chest pain. Dr. Rogers advised us that the man may be suffering from
an allergic reaction and had already delivered a shot of epinephrin and started a line of nonnal saline
solution. Firefighters continued patient care and assisted with tranSpOrt to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.

Incident Nanative: The Bozeman Fire Department was contacted by phone and requested to look
at a gas spill and give a suggestion on hOw to clean it. Upon arrival the
manager displayed a storage cabinet and it's contents which bad been covered.
with gas. The gas furnace and water heaters located in the same room were
immediately turned off and the Bozeman Police were notified. Bozeman P.D.
made a report of the incident, took pictures and then allowed the contents to be
removed from the storage unit.

smoking. Upon arrival Firefighters found the range still hot but the residents
had turned off the breaker to the range. The range was brand new and may
have been operating iinprOperly. Grease from recently cooked food began
smoking when the residents put the oven on the "clean" mode. Firefighters
assisted the owner in getting the oven door open and allowing it to cool off.

Incident Narrative: Bozeman Firefighters were dispatched to 12 East Garfielejl Apt. 0-3 to a
reported structure fire. FJretighters found a four~plex with one of the units on
fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and perfonned a search for possible
occupants. No occupants were found in the building. The fire extended from
the chimney/tlue area to the ceiling and attic crawl space. Investigation for
the cause and origin of the fire is continuing.

On October 1, 1995, at 2249 hours, this writer, Officer David
J. Wolny of The Bozeman Police Department, was working as DispatCh
Officer when a 911 call was received from John KilL of 12 East
Garfield, Apartment 0-3. KBIL was reporting that he had a chimney
fire in his apartment and could see fire in the wall behind the
outlets. Bozeman Fire Department paged. The following is the logged

monoxide detector that was activated. Firefighters used a carbon monoxide gas
