HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-27-15, Wood, Front Street Trail, Public CommentDear City Commission, Every day, the Bozeman community gets outside to walk and cycle for recreation or as a means of transportation. Excellent trail facilities benefit the entire Bozeman community by providing safe, healthy, and comfortable places for people to play. Bozeman trails also offer commuter routes that reduce unnecessary interaction with motorized traffic. We at the Gear Wizard stand behind a new addition to the network of GVLT trails, specifically the proposed Front Street connector path. This trail, stretching from the intersection of Rouse and Oak St. to Wallace St., would provide an excellent means of access between Bozeman’s historic Brewery District and the Cannery District businesses. It would also guide cyclists that ride along N. Rouse St. towards the quieter, slower, Wallace St. Please provide GVLT with the funding to complete the Front Street connector path. It would make Bozeman a safer, more accessible community and create connections between newly revitalized areas of town. Thank you for your consideration, Brian Wood Owner/President Bike Wizard LLC dba Gear Wizard 111 E Oak St. Suite 1B Bozeman, MT, 59715
