Dear Mayor Krauss and Commissioners:
I would like to request that the Bozeman City Commission provide a letter of support to the
Prospera Business Network in our service as the designated agency for the Montana Department
of Commerce as its Certified Regional Development Corporation (CRDC).
Prospera and the City of Bozeman have had a long and fruitful partnership advancing job
creation and business development in Bozeman, and we greatly value this collaboration. We will
be submitting a renewed application to serve as the area CRDC, and hope the city will provide us
with a letter of support to include in our application.
A few highlights of our recent successes for Bozeman include;
- 8 active business loans from the Bozeman Revolving Loan Fund, at work in the city,
- A job creation grant underway to create up to 17 new positions in the city, active now,
- Another job creation grant pending, for an additional 20 new jobs in the city,
- Planning funds that helped to launch the Bozeman Fiber initiative, and
- Free and confidential business counseling through the MT Women's Business Center.
These are just a few ways in which our partnership with the city has helped to foster a friendly
and supportive business climate for our community. I look forward to hearing of your support,
and thank you for your consideration.
