Greetings,
I only have two questions as a city resident, and home owner, who pays taxes here in this town andwho ultimately pays for second and third order effects of this vehicle.
1. What is the maintenance plan for the vehicle? In other words, what is the cost per year to maintaina vehicle that has only been used three times? Where does it go for an oil change?
2. What is the training plan for the whole department in regards to the use of this vehicle? Whoauthorizes its deployment for example. What type of training does an officer go through to learn how todrive the vehicle, ride in it, operate the turret in it? Roll over drills, are those being taught?
You can approve it all day long, but it takes a military guy to remind local civilians, and the Police of thecosts of the maintenance and hours of training that must be put into it. Something to think about.
