HomeMy WebLinkAbout01- Montana Public Employees Association; Ms. Sylvia Anderson- Letter of Understanding & Agreement .- ----,- '-.-.'- - ..-. ~ -. - - ..-- '--~-'-- ._._~~--~-- --,- .- .-. -. - -- .- ._-~- .- Letter of Understanding and Agreem.,nt This Letter of Understanding and Agreement is made and entered into this /1' day of December 2001, by and between the City of Bozeman, hereinafter referred to as the "Employer", and the Montana Public Employees Association, herein after referred to as the "Association". WHEREAS the Parties recognize that Article 16, Section 2 of the CWTent Agreement between the Employer and the Association provides as follows: "Effective on March 1, 2001, if Management makes changes to an incumbent's position 1hat results in a significant change in required knowledge, skills and abilities, the parties shall meet and confer about compensation." WHEREAS the Parties acknowledge that Ms. Sylvia Anderson is cWTently employed as a Clerkffypist IT with the Bozeman Police Department and, therefore, Ms. Anderson's position is an incumbent position covered by Article 16, Section 2. WHEREAS the Parties recognize that Management has made significant changes to the required knowledges, skills and abilities of this position. - _.._,--, --~--,. - _.,-...............-~_._,-'.,-,-,-,_._--.---,.._,-,.._,.,-"._-,. . ..-.:, WHEREAS the Parties recognize that the changes made to 1his position have resulted in Ms. Anderson regularly performing the duties of an Administrative Secretary IT. WHEREAS the Parties recognize that the position of Administrative Secretary IT involves significantly higher knowledge, skills and abilities than the position of Clerk/fypist II. WHEREAS, the Parties would like to compensate Ms. Anderson for the increased knowledges, skills, and abilities now required for this position. TIIEREFORE, the parties mutually agree as follows: 1. Effective November 24,2001 Ms. Anderson's pay shall be adjusted to $10.554 per hour which is Grade 8, Step 12 on the Association's Fiscal Year 2001 and 2002 Hourly Wage Schedule; 2. That Ms. Anderson's anniversary date for pay increases will be adjusted from February to November; 3. That Ms. Anderson will receive the pay adjustment (if any) negotiated between the Employer and the Association for Fiscal Year 2002 - 2003; and 4. That Ms. Anderson will not be eligible for an increase to Grade 8, Step 13 until November 24, 2002.
