I am a property owner on N. Grand Ave in Bozeman. I already sent in my
opposition to the A and C streets spec. district. Now I will try to explain why.
Recently the city asked us on N. Grand to create an SID for our street. It was
rejected.
Now you want us to pay extra for all the other streets in town too.
As I go around town, I see all kinds of street rebuilding going on, new curbing
and repaving( by the Bogart Pool, for one). I see nothing about SID’s for some of
these areas. I know E. Story was resident approved, that was their choice. I
don’t know how you are going to determine which street will get worked on. But I
know they will not be in our neighborhood. I see most work being done on the
south side of town. I also see grinding and resurfacing going on,(on the north
side too) but no SID’s for the streets.
We all pay a lot in taxes, and they are going up. We all use the streets, but
isn’t that payed for from the taxes we already pay. And what about impact fees?
You guys all cave to the developers so they don’t have to pay.
So in a nut shell, I think taxes are too high already.(And I’m a liberal) And I
think the city wastes too much of it.
