Please explain your relevant qualifications, interests and experiences. *: Originallyfrom Virginia, I have been visiting Bozeman since 1992, when my best friend fromcollege moved here. After almost two decades of loving Bozeman from afar, I hadan opportunity to move here in 2011, fulfilling a long-time dream of living in thisgorgeous, amazing town. An avid gardener, I am eager to learn more about thestate’s native species, including what does well in my new hardiness zone (a full 3USDA hardiness zones colder!). In addition to reading every garden book withMontana in the title, I completed the Master Gardener 1 program at the MSU
155
extension school in 2012 and the Master Gardener 2 program in 2014. I would behonored to help ensure the continued health and beauty of this incredible westerntown and its trees as a member of the Tree Advisory Board.

Other Info: I live on Rouse Avenue, along the route of the Montana Department ofTransportation’s proposed expansion, which is expected to result in the removal ofover 100 mature trees, including two 75'-plus tall spruce trees in my front yard.Beyond my personal interest in the project, I am particularly interested inunderstanding and, to the extent possible, mitigating the effect of projects such asthe Rouse expansion on Bozeman’s urban forest.
