Message: Hello, I am unable to attend the public commission meeting tonight (7/21/15)
regarding the zone of the land off Stucky Road. I just wanted to voice my concern about
rezoning agricultural land for housing. I don't believe, we are to be concerned with
Bozeman's well-being in the long-term, that giving student housing priority over land for
food and farming is in our community's best interests. I've been in Bozeman since 2008, and
born and raised in Billings, and I hate to see this trend in uncontrolled population and
development growth. Climate change is going to affect us in the not too distant future, and
we need to make our community more resilient, which means having nearby sources of food.
MSU should not be the focus of the community, because MSU is a bubble, it relies on debt-
ridden students who probably won't end up living in Bozeman anyways. Thank you for your
