ORDINANCE NO. 654
AN ORDINANCE FUING THE ANNUAL SALARY OR COMPENSATION OF THE
CITY MANAGER, THE HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS AED THE EIlPLOYEES OF
THE CITY COMMISSION, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIOBB OF SECTION
5507, R.C.M. 1921, AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 173, LAWS OF THE
NINETEENTH LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF MONTANA.
EREAMEL! : Whereas, the City Commission is required by law to fix by

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF'THE CITY OF BOZEMAN: .~ ~

Section 1. (a) That the City Manager shall have and receive the sum of
1300.00 per month as salary and oompensation for servioes all City Manager, and
that his said salary is hereby fixed at said amount; that said monthly salary
Shall be charged to and paid from the following tunds, to-wi t:
$125.00 from the General Fund
$175.00 from the Water Fund.
This Salary shall inolude all servioes as Head of the Department of Service,
Department of Welfare and Department of Safety; and his bond shall be in the
sum of Two Thousand Dollars {t2,000.OO).
{b) That the Polioe Judge Shall have and reaeive the s~ of $60.00 per
month as salary and oompensation tor services as police Judge, and that his
said salary is hereby fixed at said amount; that said m~y salary shall be
oharged to and paid from the General !Und. The bond of the Po1ioe Judge shall
-I be in the sum of $2,000.00.
{o ) That the head of the Department of Law shall have and receive the
swn of $100.00 per month as salary and compensation for servioes 'a~sCit~

. (d) That the Director of Finance Shall have and receive tor all
services rendered, the sum of t190.00 per month, and that his said salary 1s
, hereby fixed at said amount; that said monthly salary shall be charged to and
paid from the following funds, to-wit:
$ 90.00 from the General Fund
$100.00 from the Water Fund.
The bond of the Head of the Department of Finance shall be in the sum of
$20,000.00.
( e ) That the Clerk of the Commission Shall receive the sum of $30.00
I per month as salary and compensation for servioes as Clerk of the Commission
and that said monthly salary shall be oharged to and paid from the General
Fund.
Section 2. The salaries and bonds as fixed by this Ordinance sha~l be
effective as of the first d~y of January, 1936.
Seotion 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after thirty days after the date of its final passage.

Finally passed by the Commission of the City of Bozeman this 4th day
of January, 1936.

passage fixed for a meeting' of the Commission January 4, 1935.
Effective February 4, 1935.
I, Carolyn Westlake, Clerk of the Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No.654 of the City of
Bozeman, was published by title in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, a daily
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said Oity of
Bozeman, in the issue of January 6, 1935, and that due proof of said
publioation was made and filed in my office.
