AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN PROVIDING FOR A
MUNICIPAL PLAN BOARD PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 5461,. R. C. MONTANA~ 1921, AND PRESCRIBING
ITS DUTIES AND POWERS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
Seotion 1.
Appointment of' Plan Board
The City Commission may appoint a Municipal Plan Board of three members,
who shall serve without compensation; provided, that in its discretion the
City Commission may allow the actual expenses of such Board and/or any of its
m$m'bers, incurred in the actual disoharge of the duties of the Board, if such
expense is authorized by order of the City Commissiou before it is incurred,
and such order entered in the min.te,;p~vided, furthe~, that before any' such
expense is allowed and paid, olaim therefor shall be tiled with the ~erk of

One member of the first Board shall be appointed 80 that his t;-rnr'~o'r""'"
otfice shall expire on the 31st day of Deoember following his appointment; the
ter.m 01' another member shall expire on the second 31st day of December
following his appointment; and the ter.m 01' the third member shall expire on "

Deeember 31, 1934; that the term 01' another shall expire on December 31, 1935;
and the term of the third.shal~ expire on December 31, 1936, and on the appoint-
ment of the Board the terms 01' the first members thereof shall be designated
by the City Commission as herein provided. Vaoancies on the Board for any .- ._~----
reason other than expiration of term shall be filled by appointment of the
Commission for the unexpired term. Appointments to fill vaoanoies caused bJ'

the City, and report thereon with recommendations from time to time to the
City Commission. The functions of the Board shall be purely advisory. It
shall have no})e1PWor authority to bind the City of Bozeman by any
contract or agreement, nor to incur any expense for which the City ot:
Bozeman sball be liable or .esponsible, unless first authorized by the
City Commission by its formal order in official meeting assembled and I

Effeotive Date
This ordin,nce shall be in force and effeot thirty days from and after
its adopt ion.
