ORDINANCE NO. 550.
AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO PLAY BALL , TENNIS, MARBLES, HAND BALL,
OR ANY OTHER GAME, UPON THE STREETS OR ALLF.YS OF THE CITY OF BOZ]n!AN, OR
IN ANY WAY TO USE ANY STREET OR .ALLEY SO AS TO IMPEDE OR INTERFERE WI,TH
TRA VEL THEREON' AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FoR A VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
I BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
.Sec. 1. That after the passage and approval of this Ordinance
it shall be unlawful for any person, persons, rinn ,corporation or associ-
ation, to play any game of ball, tennis, marbles, hand ball, or any other
game of whatsoever kind or character, upon any of the pUblic streets and
alleys of the City of Bozeman, or in any way to use or occupy any street
or alley of the said City of Bozeman so as to impede or interfere with
travel by vehicles and pedestrians thereon.
Sec. 2. A violation of this Ordinance shall be punished by a
fine of not less than Five Dollars ($~.OO), nor more than Two Hundred
Dollars ($200.00), or by imprisonment in the City or County Jail for not
to exceed sixty days, or -by both such fine and imprisonment; and in case
of a fine, if the same is not paid, then the offender may be imprisoned in
the City or County Jail at the rate of one day for every Two Dollars of
such fine imposed.
Sec. 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an Emer-
"I gency Ordinance and it shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.

Chronicle, a daily newspaper of general circulation printed and published
in the City of Bozeman, Montana, and that due proof of said publication was
