ORDINANCE NO. 544.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF A TAX OF NOT LESS
THAN TWO MIIJ..S NOR MORE THAN FIVE MILLS ON THE DOLLAR UPON ALL TAXABLE
PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA,
FOR RAISING REVENUE FOR ROAD, STREET AND ALLEY PURPOSES.
I BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
Section 1. That the Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana,
"hall levy and cau"e to be collected each year hereafter a tax'Of not Ie".
than two mills nor more than five mills on the Dollar upon all the taxable
property within the corporate limits of the City of Bozeman, Montana, for
road, street and alley purposes.
Section 2. That said tax shall be collected for the said City
of Bozeman, Montana, by the County Treasurer of Gallatin County, Montana,
as other taxes belonging to said City 1s collected.
Section 3. That it.shall be the duty of th,e.City Treasurer to
receive from the County Treasurer of Gallatin.go.unty, Montana, all of
such taxes to the Bame extent as other City'taxes are received and

Section 4. That all su~taxes provided for in this Ordinance
shall be used by the City of ~ozeman for road, street and alley purposes.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
-I.. thirty days from and after the date of its passage, approval and. publica-
tion.
