I am encouraging a "no "vote by the Zoning Commission regarding this proposal. Thank you for your consideration. Regards, Gordon Bradley Chris Saunders City of Bozeman Department of Planning and Community Development P.O. Box 1230 Bozeman, MT 59771-1230 Dear Mr. Saunders, I am writing to lend my support to those in opposition to the proposed annexation and zone map amendment for 20 acres at 3000 Stucky Road in Bozeman. The proposed action is referenced as “Stucky Road Annexation/ZMA file # 15232”. The property I own, along with my brother and sister has been in our family for over a half century. Our property (SW ¼ of NW ¼ of Sec. 23 TN 2S of RN 5E) abuts the south west corner of the 20 acres proposed for annexation. Our concerns are similar to those of our next door, and across the street neighbors. Each parcel remains active as agriculture including a vegetable farm, pasture, hay, and in our case 40 acres of barley. For decades we have watched as development moved in our direction in hopes that those pressures would not get so close as to preclude our ability to keep the land in productive agriculture. With the current annexation proposal, we can anticipate potential conflicts with the possibility of 500 new neighbors in the 100 high density apartment dwellings, increased traffic on both Stucky and Fowler Roads, and actual physical encroachment by those who may wander onto our property, uninvited and in the process impact agriculture production. In keeping with the regions efforts to maintain a healthy agricultural land base, we would encourage the Zoning Commission to vote no on this proposal. Thank you for your time and consideration.
