I read about the new budget for the City of Bozeman and want to express my observations about the
City Streets—
It seems that with all the new building going on in Bozeman and requirement of new streets, that our
City Street
repairs are being ignored. Many of our streets are in need of repairs and restructuring…..for instance
at the
junction of Oak and 19th going East, there are only 2 lanes: 1 left hand turning land and 1 for going
forward and turning right.
We are in need of a 3rd lane so that the right hand lane can be divided to allow traffic to turn right, even
on a red light safely.
As it stands right now, traffic that wants to only turn right has to wait til the light turns green since there
are cars backed up
in long lines, especially at high traffic times. It is a street I travel frequently and have noticed lots of
frustration in waiting
to turn.
