Please enact an emergency ordinance to ban fireworks in our city/county.It is not too late.Butte just did it yesterday, joining other major MT communities. Conditions are extremely hot/dry/windy & not predicted to change over the holiday weekend. City/county-wide, lawns/fields are dry & dead. Though fire is the main concern, the onslaught of fireworks over the next 4 days also worsens air quality when people need to open windows to cool off their houses in this extreme heat. Please think of our children, seniors & people w/health issues. If there is a "no-burn order" issued, doesn't that mean that conditions for lighting off gunpowder all over the city/ county is a hazard, too? Property, health, livelihoods, homes & livestock are far more impt than people's personal entertainment. Thank you for your consideration. I am not alone in my concerns.
