Message: This year is the worst year with the homeless population. Our business is inundated
with homeless all day long. Using the bathroom, pan handling our customers, harassing staff.
Yesterday one threatened to kill our night cashier. Its hard enough to staff businesses this year
and then to have employees threatened is crazy. Employees and customers should feel safe at
work. We need an ordinance against pan handling and loitering. Camping and sleeping only in
designated sites not under trees n bushes and in trash dumpster enclosures. The warming center
is the worst thing this community ever built. My office is across the street and I work early. Can't
tell you how many times I've been approached first thing in the morning for money. Our
community and business need to be safe. Our tourists which drive business need to feel safe.
