My name is david mickelson I've been in Bozemanite for over 15 years. I own myhome at North cedar view I received a notice 530 at night by somebody at my doortelling me that there will be chips Ewing my ro that morning at 6 a.m. and then if Ihave a car out there it will be towed. When I called on it nobody answer the phonebecause it was after business hours the following day I was finally return the phonecall by Jackie and my friend / she was beyond rude explaining to me that there is Ihave no option and that they will not give me any notice. I don't think it's fair thatthe city of Bozeman things that they can give me less than 12 hours notice none ofwhich were on business hours to remove my car. I have a broken foot my wife and Iboth full time jobs and we are parents of one. The car has been sitting there underthe legal limit I cannot get it out of park the problem I think it lies in a switch. Icalled the city to see what I could do and inform them that I am going to junk itthrough the County junk vehicle program and asking them where a good place toput the car would be so that it wouldn't then anybody else is way the city streetsdirector said he'd stop by my home which he did. When I came out of my home Iwas greeted by the director and a police officer. I thought that was in poor taste as Iwas just trying to find a solution and he felt he needed to bring somebody carryinga weapon. I'm a citizen of this city and I don't deserve to be treated as a criminalbecause I'm trying to find a solution for my car. I don't believe that the city has anyright to announce after business hours that it that something has to be removedwhen I am in my practical legal limits to park there and I pay an enormous amountof property taxes to the city I also don't think it's appropriate that somebody shouldthreaten me with a police officer standing next to me and. I understand that thepolice are there for good but in this case he was clearly there to intimidate me. Iapologize if this email seems sporadic I am dictating it as I have my 8 month olddaughter crawling around my feet currently my name again is david mickelson I liveat 1139 North cedar view in Bozeman my phone number is 406 579 3389 I feel asthough I was treated unfairly and I would hope that the city would think that this isimportant enough to contend with thank the commission for their time I wish themluck in their guidance and finding the solution Bozeman is becoming quickly a bigcity and not ones who care for its community frankly it's becoming a place where Idon't know if I want to raise my daughter and I love this town
