HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-05-15 Nicklin Public Comment on Parking I am a budding entrepreneur who just recently opened a business consulting& computer
troubleshooting business in Bozeman. While on a trip to help a client, I parked my car at the
corner of Tracy and Main Street today. My appointment lasted more than the two hours of
parking time that I knew I had on the street side, but I lost track of time (removing viruses and
rootkits can be an involving process and you never know just how long things will take).
Upon completing my work, I was dismayed to find that I had received a parking violation. I
begrudgingly opened the blue envelope and was blown away to find that I had not in fact
received a fee,but rather a kind warning about the city's parking policy with a detailed
explanation of how to avoid fees in the future. This made my day!
It's little things like this that make me, and my business, feel welcome in the City of Bozeman.
Thank you for your courteous parking enforcement policy- it is just one more little thing that
solidifies my decision to remain in Bozeman and grow my business here. Acts of kindness pay
enormous dividends in the future.
