HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-10-15 Cancelled PTS Agenda Thursday, May 28, 2015 Members & Friends of Bozeman (Area) Pedestrian and Traffic Safety Committee, Committee officers have decided to CANCEL the committee meeting scheduled for June 10. The next committee meeting will be 12 noon Wednesday, July 8, in the upstairs conference room of the City's Alfred Stiff Professional Office Building at 20 East Olive Street in Bozeman. This cancellation is precipitated by a careless mistake I made. I apologize. FYI, we have been unofficially advised that the County Commission has appointed Tom Foster to the voting position on the committee that Frank Manseau previously occupied before his death last month. Tom attended our last committee meeting and introduced himself to us at that time. Welcome, Tom!!! The County Commission is moving ahead with a proposed new ordinance that will limit the legal speed to 20 MPH on the Monforton School Road west of Bozeman. As drafted, the speed limit would be in effect 24/7. The first reading of the proposed ordinance will be at the Commission's regular 9 AM Tuesday morning session on June 9 in the third floor community room at the county courthouse on West Main. The second reading will be two weeks later at the same time and place. If duly approved, the ordinance would go into effect approximately thirty days later. I am sorry we won't be meeting June 10, but I look forward to seeing you on July 8. Ralph W. Zimmer, Chairperson Bozeman (Area) Pedestrian and Traffic Safety Committee
