Message: I would like to propose that our commissioner’s work with the state legislatures to come up with a community service program aimed at cleaning up our Gallatin River banks in the
canyon section between the community of Gallatin gateway and Big Sky. As an avid sportsman
in that area, I have seen a recent, abrupt increase in the amount of trash in this area. It is my
belief that the increased amount of traffic flow on I 191 between these two areas has contributed
to this factor. The Gallatin River is home to a multitude of fragile ecosystems, and I believe if this type of destruction continues we will see negative effects in the near future. Thank you for
