Dear Mayor Krauss and City Commissioners,
My name is Bridget Wilkinson, Executive Director of the Bozeman Area CommunityFoundation.
On May 5th, the Bozeman Area Community Foundation in partnership with manylocal businesses and 100 nonprofit organizations will host Gallatin County's first GiveBig Gallatin Valley Day. Our giving day just received national attention this weekthrough an article written by the Chronicle of Philanthropy.
Give Big Gallatin Valley will be a powerful 24-hour online and live celebration ofgiving that connects community members in Gallatin County with local nonprofits toreinforce the value of local philanthropic giving and community engagement.
Local nonprofits’ involvement in the event will give members of our community thechance to find and support an organization whose mission aligns with their passion,or to make an amplified impact to an organization they already support with thehelp of our Stretch Pool of dollars. In order to incentivize the community to give toimportant causes on this one day, many local businesses and organizations havecontributed funds to this Stretch Pool of matching dollars.
We will be joining you at the City Commission meeting on Monday, April 13th tobriefly share more details about this upcoming community-wide celebration of givingin Gallatin County. Additionally, we hope this time will allow you the opportunity toask us any questions you may have regarding this day.
