SUBJECT: Professional Service Term Contracts for Development Review Services
MEETING DATE: March 23, 2015

RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to execute Professional Service Term
Contract Extensions for Development Review Services.
BACKGROUND: In March 2014, the City of Bozeman published a Request for Proposals (RFP) for development review services. These services included review of site plans,
subdivisions, and other various private development applications received by the Department of
Community Development. On April 21, 2014, the City Commission approved contracts with
four engineering firms to provide services to the City for Development Review. Community
Development and Public Works anticipate a heavy application volume this spring and summer. In order to be able to process applications in a timely manner we are seeking extensions of the
existing service contracts.
Contracts are with the following firms, selected through an RFP process in March 2014: Allied
Engineering, TD&H Engineering, Sanderson Stewart, and KLJ.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission.
FISCAL EFFECTS: The contract with each firm contains the same billable rates for their
services. The funds for these contracts will come from the Department of Community
Development and Department of Public Works Engineering contracted services budgets.
