I
Mayor Dear Legislators:
Jeff Krauss
Municipalities impacted by the tourism industry or by natural resource development need
Deputy Mayor the option to have an additional revenue source that targets the activity causing the impact.
Carson Taylor Local governments in the present fiscal environment cannot adequately maintain and
improve critical infrastructure and provide public safety services. A local option authority
Commissioners
provides a community with the tools to address infrastructure and public safety needs. The
Cyndy Andrus tax requires voter approval and would ease the burden on local property taxpayers.
Chris Mehl
I-Ho Pomeroy The City of Bozeman is in strong support of a local option impact authority bill during the
2015 Montana Legislative session.
