To the City Commission,
To all of you last night, great job! Everyone that spoke cares about
this community and is genuinely interested in helping solve this
problem. The discussion was diverse and I personally learned a lot
about all of the various ways to tackle this problem that I did not
know before. I believe that by providing the incentives that were
listed in the second motion last night, our community will be able to
deliver small compact work force housing at sub 250 and sub 200
pricing without the need for IZ. The Commission’s diverse
perspective regarding this issue was of great benefit to our town
and I applaud all of you. It is now time for the development
community to step up and as long as we maintain this partnership
approach great things will start to happen! I am proud to be a
member of this community and have you all as my city
commissioners.
