Dear Mayor Taylor and Members of the Commission,
As a participant in the Affordable Housing Task Force in 2006-07, I was very disappointed that
the ordinance we supported was never implemented. We spent long hours discussing issues
and coming to reasonable suggestions which represented compromise between builders,
citizens, and city staff.
I strongly urge you to consider carefully the recommendations prepared by Werwath Associates.
The need for affordable housing for teachers, fire and police staff, and those working in the
service industry has never gone away and indeed has likely increased in these past eight years.
I believe that Bozeman will benefit from providing housing for everyone, not just the affluent.
