A RESOLUTION FINDING THAT THE
BOZEMAN DOWNTOWN URBAN RENEWAL
PROJECT PLAN CONFORMS WITH THE
BOZEMAN AREA PLAN
WHEREAS , the Montana Urban Renewal Law requires that an
Urban Renewal Project Plan be submitted to the Planning Board
of the municipality for review and recommendations as to its
conformity with the comprehensive plan or parts thereof for
the development of the municipality as a whole ; and
WHEREAS , "THE BOZEMAF AREA PLAN , " dated 1972 , is the
comprehensive plan for the Bozeman Area including the municipality
as a whole and the proposed urban renewal area; and
WHEREAS , the full or complete draft of the proposed urban
renewal plan is not now available for review and comment ,
however , the sections dealing with :
- The Project Area Description
- Goals and Objectives of the Plan
- Land Use
- The Plans Relationship to Local Objectives
were presented to the Planning Board on November 12 , 1981 by
the Bozeman Downtown Development Association.
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY-COUNTY PLANNING
BOARD OF BOZEMAN , MONTANA:
Section 1: That the proposed Urban Renewal Plan, the Land Use
and the Plans Relationship to Local Objectives as
submitted to the Planning Board .on November 12, 1981,
by the Bozeman Downtown Development Association
conforms with the 1972 BOZEMAN AREA PLAN, as amended.
Section 2: It is hereby found and recommended that all zoning. land
use, maximum densities, building requirements, and parking
be governed by the City of BOZEMAN ZONING CODE until
changed or amended by appropriate action.
Section 3: That the Urban Renewal Plan if approved by the City
Commission be incorporated into the Bozeman Area Plan
and any revisions or updates to said comprehensive plan..
Section 4: That the Planning Board hereby authorizes its Planning
Director and Chairman to review the full or final draft
of the plan to assure that there are not substantial changes
from the draft plan submitted on November 12, 1981 and
forward in writing to the City Commission these recommendations
