RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to appoint Sharon Tudor Isler to the Beautification Advisory Board for the term ending June 30, 2016. BACKGROUND: The Beautification Advisory Board currently has four ongoing vacancies.
One member has applied who is a non-resident having an in interest in the City by virtue of
working in the city, owning property in the city, or entering the city frequently for any lawful
purpose.” The Beautification Advisory Board was created under Ordinance No. 1360, Chapter 2.84,
Bozeman Municipal Code. The board consists of up to nine members, to be appointed to
staggered three-year terms. Persons must be of legal age. A majority of the members must be
residents of the city; and non-resident members shall “have some interest in the city by virtue of working in the city, owning property in the city, or entering the city frequently for any lawful purpose.”
The board is to identify, investigate, and recommend community beautification projects and
programs; investigate and pursue possible funding sources for beautification projects, in coordination with City staff; and advise the Commission concerning beautification of City-owned properties and facilities.
The Beautification Advisory Board currently has one vacancy with an expiring term of
June 30, 2016 and three vacancies with expiring terms of June 30, 2017 and one applicant. Applicant: Sharon Tudor Isler

keep it as beautiful as possible. I moved here in 1971, and had 3 children go through our school
district. I have invested in several condos which I rent, so I have a financial interest in our city, as well. I was President of the Bozeman Symphony for 2 years, and was on that board and on the Opera board for many years. I've been on a Museum of the Rockies committee for several years, and
contribute to United Way, many local fund drives and my church. I'm an amateur photographer and
