This mornings local television news stated the commission would be voting this evening on
purchasing the Story Mill Park property, the sellers are asking 2.65 million for the approximate
15 acres.
I ask where does this money come from? Where will the monies come from to develop the park
into what is proposed?? What is the proposed annual cost to maintain a park of this size??
The Bozeman voters said no to the proposed Law & Justice center recently, which is probably
needed to keep up with Bozeman's Growth! I have been a tax payer & voter in the city of
Bozeman for thirty Eight years, & I personally feel that the City of Bozeman should concentrate
the tax payers money on the inter-structure of the City first & purchasing land for more parks
& water parks further down the list of priorities! Maybe the additional park money should
come from donations / or private sector in the case of the water park?
