Message: I again want to thank each of you for the time and dedication you showthe community!! I am very grateful for each of you. I am writing in regards to thelaw suit pertaining to the battalion chiefs. First of all - I am writing this as a citizenwho does NOT work for the city, and this is MY opinion, not that of my husband.You have spent almost 100k fighting this dispute that has lost at the state level intwo other cities. Now, you are throwing more of our money at a losing battle.Believe it or not - a City Government and a Union do not have to be at odds. I haveseen it in other places and even in Bozeman under different leadership. The unionCAN be advantageous if the leadership will look at the benefits, such as grants foreducation,etc... I think maybe the leadership is looking at this through the wrongglasses. As a citizen - I ask you to not continue to waste thousands of dollars toprove a point or to save a very small chunk of change. Please consider this as themoney it is - money you are taking out of the citizen's pockets. Is it being usedwisely. I say NO.
