LAMME 10:00 MEMBERS PRESENT: RICHARD MABEE, BUILDING CHUCK WINN, FIRE DEPARTMENT DAVE SKELTON, CHAIRPERSON STAFF PRESENT: CHRIS WH LIAMS, PLANNING INTERN DEAN PATTERSON, URBAN DESIGN/ASSOCIATE PLANNER CAROL SCHOTT, RECORDING SECRETARY VISITORS PRESENT: MATT APPLEBY LARRY WITT LOWELL SPRINGER DON THIESEN RAY CENTER STEVE COFFEY TIM HORTON ROB GILBERT A. SECOND WEEK REVIEW 1. Atlantic Holding Co. MiSP/COA #Z-95153 (Williams) 316 East Babcock - A Minor Site Plan with a Certificate of Appropriateness to allow revitalization of the existing buildings to include a restaurant and offices, awnings, facade changes, and related site improvements. Chairperson Dave Skelton stated that this project will need a decision from this Committee at the next meeting. He introduced Matt Appleby. Chris Williams, Planning Intern, presented the project. He continued that the building is currently configured as a restaurant and an auto body shop. The applicant planned to add walls for restrooms. Mr. Williams stated that one problem was the drainage from a neighboring building onto a storage shed located in the northeast corner of the lot in the rear of the property. Mr. Appleby stated that the owner would like to keep the storage shed and revitalize it. Mr. Mabee inquired of the use of the shed. Mr. Appleby stated that it is used as cold storage for old kitchen counters and equipment, etc. He continued that the roof is in need of replacement. There is an overhead door, but it is blocked by the curb. Mr. Appleby stated that the owner wishes to move the property line over to the edge of Bozeman Creek. Planner Skelton inquired about required parking spaces. Mr. Williams responded that parking was adequate. Planner Skelton suggested that Mr. Williams confer with John Paysek on the engineering features. In response to Mr. Winn's question on main building usage, Mr. Appleby stated that the restaurant would be in the front 1/3 of the building, and offices will be in the remaining portion. 1 Mr. Winn stated there were no problems as far as he is concerned. Mr. Appleby stated there was the capability for hooking up sprinklers. Mr. Skelton suggested that Mr. Williams confer with water/sewer and engineering departments. 2
