HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-13-14 Four Points Public Comment, Rickert Stacy Ulmen From: Bryan Rickert[bryan@mid-americamulch.com] Sent: Monday. October 13, 2014 4:13 PM To: Agenda Subject: Comment on Four Points Staff Report Meeting 10/13/14 Dear Sir or Madam, I am a resident of Baxter Meadows and would like to take this time to comment on the Four Points Development that is up for public comment this evening. As you can see in the the proposed development is in an area that was zoned to complement Baxter Meadows Neo-Traditional planning and design. Why must this area of Bozeman be under constant re-zoning review for more high density housing? The existing zoning is modern, well thought out and complimentary to the City's Master Plan. I already have a non-zoning compliant high density development being constructed out my front door and there is a consideration for more of the same next door? Please stop! Baxter Meadows is not the city's feel good, high density, dumping grounds. Last March during public comments for the student housing proposal by Campus Crest, repeatedly stated by disgruntled residents was "What are you frying to do, turn us into Northwest Bozeman?" You the City Commission and the City Planning board approved the original site zoning and use but now feel that it needs to be diminished, I didn't invest in Northwest Bozeman to have it become a derogatory label. Thank you, Bryan Rickert 2364 Gallatin Green Blvd, #5 Bozeman, Mt 59718 This is how Baxter Meadows was originally zoned, please keep it that way. 1
