Message: I am writing in regard to the Four Points Minor Subdivision. As a residentof Baxter Meadows, I am opposed to the development of this subdivision without theproper infrastructure being in place. Our neighborhood is currently "landlocked" withonly Baxter Lane available for ingress and egress. Any weekday morning, it can take20 minutes or longer to reach Davis Lane. This is not a mere inconvenience, but adangerous situation for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists. The current newconstruction of 198 apartment units to the north of Baxter and the west of Davis hasbeen a nightmare for residents. There is construction trash spewed into the adjacentstreets, vacant lots, and our neighborhood park/stream. The construction traffic, including, cement mixers, dump trucks, and tractor trailers routinely fail to stop atthe intersections of Equestrian and Vaquero and Equestrian and Caballo. The postedspeed limit in the area is 25 MPH, which is rarely respected. Our familyneighborhood is being run roughshod over by outside investors, whom have nopersonal stake in our community. Our neighborhood has yet to feel the true impactof the 198 apartment complex, yet, are being asked to make room for another highdensity subdivision. I ask the commissioners to delay or at the very least staggerthis development, until 1) all the infrastructure is in place and operational; and 2)the current 198 structure is completed (to reduce construction congestion).
