DECLARING IT 1'0
BE THE INTENTION OF SAID CITY COMMISSION TO CREATE A SPECIAL
IMPROv:TI:MENT DISTRICT TO

BE IT HESOLVED BY THE C01\lIHISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN;

Sec. l.
That it is hereby declared to be the
intenti on of the Oity Commis-
sion of the City of Bozeman,
State of Montana,
to create a special improvement
~
district
to be known and designated as Special
Improvement District No. 253 of said
City,
for the purpose of making' the improvements wi thin said special improvement
I

district hereinafter described.
Sec. 2.
That the boundaries of said Special
Improvement District No. 253,
to be cr~ated, are as follows:
Beginning at a point in the west line of South
Third Avenue, said point
being 50 feet south of the south line
of West story Street; thence west
parallel wi th and 50 feet south of said so uth line of West Story Street
to the east line of South Sixth Avenue; thence
north along said east
line of South Sixth Avenue to a point
50 feet north of the north line of
said West Story Street; thenceea,stparallel wi
th and 50 feet north of
said north line of West Story Street to
the west line of said South
Third Avenue;' thence south along said west line of South Third Avenue
to
the place of beginning, all in the CHy of Bo~em()J1,
Montana.
Sec. 3.
That it is hereby declared to be the
opinion of said CHy Commis-
sion of the
City of Bozeman,
State of Montana,
that all of the land wi thin said
posed special .improvement district,
as defined in Section 2 of this Resolution,
whether abutting on said improvement
or not, will be specially and equally benefit-
ted by the grading. paving and installati on of said drainage
culverts,
and all of
said improvements,
and sh ould equally hear the

Sec. 7.
That the entire cost and expense of
making the special improve-
ments herein set forth
in said Special Improvement District No.
25.3 shall
be paid by
Special Improvement
District
Coupon Bonds,
as authorized by
the laws of the State of
Montana, which bonds
shall be in
the
denomination of One Hundred Dollars
($100) each,
or fracti ons thereof
where necessary,
to he is sued and ch1:LrQeable against a fund
to
be known as
"Special Improvement District No.
25:3 Fund " ,
said bonds
to he redeemable
at the option
of
the City of Bozeman,
Montana,
whenever funds are available for that
purpose from paid
Special Improvement District No.
253 Fund.
Said 1Jonds shall draw
simple interest at
the
rate of si~ per cent per annum,
which interest
shall be
chargeable as a part
of the
cost of said improvement,
and shall
run from tJ:w date

said bonds until said bonds are paid.
Sec. 8.
To pay f:Jaid bondroand interest thereon,
representing the cost or
said improvement,
a special
assessment
shall be levied 8.gainst

the proportion that the
lineal feet
of Baid lot or parcel of land bor-
dering or abutting
on saict West Story Street bears
to the total West Story street
frontage,
exclusive
of streets,
alleys, avenues and pUblic places,
wi thin said dist-
rict.
Sec. 9.
Saict assessment and taxes
shall be payable in six annual install-
ments,
with six per cent annual interpst on deferred paymentB,

year 1926, gut

to prevent
f;;ll payment at any
time.
Sec. 10.
