Dear Commissioners,Did you see the news report tonight on KBZK ? A spokeswoman from the Missoula police departmenttold of their use of the BearCat. They have used it several times in the last year. Shots have been firedat the vehicle with NO casualties to the SRT men. They have found it of great value for the safety oftheir men.
I have lived in Bozeman for over 50 years and have seen the change in our community. My grandson isa Bozeman police officer and has been a member of the SRT team for many years. They are called outany time day or night, not knowing what the situation might be. I would like to think that his safety andthe safety of his team members is as important to you as it is to me and my family.
I would like your support of Chief Price and his officers on the vote on the BearCat.
