I should like to weigh in to discourage the acceptance and use of an armed military vehicle by theBozeman police. i think that a vehicle of this nature is out of place in a civilian agency. If a situationarises (doubtful) where such a vehicle is needed, then we’re talking about calling the National Guard. Iexpect that the cost of maintaining such a vehicle and training crews will be far more than it’s worth. Tobe sure, if the police have it, it will be used, but I think that in every such case it will be doing a jobthat can be done by regular vehicles. Thomas Kaveney
