Dear City Commission:
I would like to see the police force return to community engagement rather thancommunity protection. The police force serves the population of Bozeman. If youlook at your population as working together to protect itself rather than as apopulation that needs to be protected from others then you have lost track of whatyou are doing. This vehicle sends a message that the police force wants to resolveconflict with weapons and not words. And is way off the mark for a community andpolice force that should be working on establishing trust rather than militarizing apolice force and alienating that trust.
