Just a few years ago this property was a neatly kept trailer park. It was purchased by the owners of the Yellowstone Club with the intent to build an upscale "mini city within a city". The mobile home owners were forced to leave. The land ended in bankruptcy and the City of Bozeman somehow acquired it and then "sold" it to the City of Bozeman Parks and Trails Division who are now planning a park to be built there. Now—once again- Bozeman Commission is struggling with affordable housing. I am wondering if there is any"voters remorse"while planning to build another park on land that contains all of the infrastructure (natural gas, electricity, water and sewer) in place to set up modular homes. I do not know the number of spaces but it is substantial. The cost to revert the land back to affordable module housing would be minimal while preparing it and building a park will be costly. A plus for younger families would be affordability and living down the street from the Boys and Girls Club. I would urge the Bozeman City Commission and the Parks and Trails Committee to rethink this plan to make Bozeman beautifully kept but also with a beautiful heart. I grew up in the Gallatin Valley and we raised our family in Bozeman so it has always been a special place. Shirley Hinz ti Shirley Hinz 1050 Boylan Rd.Apt. 10 Bozeman,MT 59715-1511
