Message: In regards to the recent article that the Bozeman Police Department justpurchased at $200,000+ vehicle that could be classified as a tank: Why? Why dothey think they need that? Why can't they see what's going on in the rest of theUnited States? Giving PD's military equipment means changing peace officers intowar officers. Montana doesn't need a SWAT team, let alone Bozeman, and thatmoney would have been much better spent else where. Do you know what elsestops bullets from being shot at police? Education! Homes! Food! Can we please stoptrying to put band-aids on our problems and actually start treating the causes?Please, Bozeman City Commission, get our money back and put it to actual use.Keep the military toys and mindset out of our community. Thank you.
