I would urge you to consider other avenues forbringing in high tech rescue equipment which would not lump Bozeman in with apublically vilified and questioned policy of military grade hardware redistribution. Itexcites the local political climate and perhaps exposes Bozeman to the nationalspotlight in a less-than-desirable way. That said, Bozeman prides itself on creativity, local realities, and progressive solutions. Thus the only tenanble course for retainingand using such hardware in the present moment is to make a point of publicallyclassifying and re-branding them as wilderness rescue vehicles, and so on. That is tosay, whatever PR approach must specifically get behind the criticism and anticipateit by assuming an attitude which ostensibly criticizes the inappropriate use of suchvehicles. Bozeman is in a position to make an example of itself. The City can usemilitary grade hardware only if very publically and very correctly. Best of Luck,Samuel Foulkes
