DISTRICT NO. 260.
WHEREAS,
The City Commi ssion of the Oi ty of Bozeman did on the 31st day of
December, 1926, duly and regularly pass Conunission Resolution
No. 77, declaring it
to be the intention of the said City Commission to create a special
improvement
district to be known and designated as Special Improvement District
No. 260 of said
City, for the purpose of grading and constructing concrete pavement
and storm sewer
in the first alley south of Main street from Tracy Avemle to
Willson Avenue, within
said City,
and thereafter, after due and legal proceedings had,
the said City Com-
mission did on the 28th day of January, 1927, duly pass Commission
Resolution No.
78,
creating said Special Improvement District No. 260 of said City
of Bozeman, State
of Montana, for the purpose of constructing the improvements
as herein set forth,
which Conunission Resolutions No.
77 and No.
78, passed as aforesaid, are hereby re-
ferred to and made a part of this Resolution for further particulars
in respect to
the boundaries of said District, the character of the improvements
to be construct-
I
ed therein, the estimated co st of said. improvements and the
method of assessing the
cost against
the property within said district;
and,

as contemplated in said Commission Resolutions No.
77 and No.
78 have been constructed and completed in accordance with the terms and
condi tions of Commission Resolutions No.
77 and No.
78, and the total cost of said
improvements so constructed is the sum of Four Thousand Two Hundred
Fifty-nine and
88/100 Dollars
(~~4259 .88) ;
NOW, TIJEREFORE, Pursuant to the provisions o~ Chapter 56 and
Chapter 64 of Part
IV of the Political Code of the 1921 laws of the state of Montana,
and amendments
thereto,
BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED BY THE CITY COmMISSION
OF THE CITY OF

BOZEMAN,
STATE OF MONTANA:
Sec. 1.
That to defray the cost and expense of constructing and making the
said in~rovements in said Special Improvement District No. 260
there be, and there
is hereby levied and assessed a tax amounting to the
sum 0 f Four Thou sand Two Hun-
dred Fifty-nine and 88/100 Dollars (~~4259.88) upon all the property
in said Special
I
Improvement District No. 260;
that a particular description of each lot and parcel
of land with
the name of the owner and the smn assessed against him or it for such
improvements
and the amount of each partial payment to be made and the day when the
same shall be delinquent is set forth in detail in the assessment
list hereto at-
tached,
marked Schedule nAn and made a part hereof;
that the several sums set oppo-
site the names of the owners and the described lots and parcels
of land be, and the

same are hereby respectively
levied and assessed upon and against said described
lots and parcels of
land to defray the cost and expense of constructing and maJdng

said improvements
within said District;
that the several Sl.llilS so asse ssed be co llect-
ed from the respective
owners of said lots and parcels of land described in said
assessment list, Schedule
"AIf, as required
by law; that the payment
of said sums
shall be made in six
installments and the payment of said installments shall extend
over a period of five
years; that
the payment of the respective semi-annual install-
ments shall be made
between the 1st Monday in October and the 31st day of May of
each year until payment
of all the installments,
together with the interest thereon,
shall have been made;
that said sums shall
be paid and the collection thereon shall
be made in the manner
and in accordance with the law governing the collection of
special improvement
taxes; that failure
to pay such assessments when the same shall
become due and payable
shall make such persons and said lots and parcels of land
liable to
the penalties provided by law relative to delinquent taxes;
Sec.
2:.
That the regular session of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman
to be held in the
Commission Chamber in the City Hall of said City on the 16th day
of September,
1927, at seven-thirty o'clock P.},:. be and the
same is hereby designated
as the time and place
at which objections to the final adoption of this Resolution

will be heard by the
said City Commission.
Sec.
3.
That the Clerk of the Commission of the City of Bozeman be,
and he is
hereby ordered and
directed to publish in the Bozeman Daily Cl'~onicle,
a daily news-
paper printed and
1mbli shed in the
said City of Bozeman, a notice signed by the Clerk
of the Commission
and stating that a Resolution levying a special assessment of

taxes to defray the
cost and expense of constructing and making the improvements in
the said Special Improvement
District No. 260,
is on file in the office of the Clerk
of the Commission
subject to inspection for a period of fi ve
( 5 )
days; that said
notice shall state
the time and place at which objections will be heard by the C1 ty
Commission to the
final adoption of this Resolution;
that it shall be published at
least five
(5 )
days before the day set by the City Commission for the hearing of ob-
jections and the final
adoption of this Resolution.
Passed and adopted
by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman at a regular
session thereof, held
on this 9th d.ay of September, A.D. 192.7.

NOTICE IS
HEREBY GIVEN, That at a regular session of the City Commission of
the City
of Bozeman, held on Friday, the 9th day of September, 1927,
Conmli ssion
Resolution No. 86 was duly passed and adopted;
tba t said Cormni ssion Resolution
levies and. assesses a special assessment of taxes upon all the
property in Special
Improvement District No. 260 in said City,
to defray the cost and expense of con-
structing and making the improvements within said District,
to-wit:
The grading
and construction of concrete pavement and storm sewer on first
alley south of 1~in
Street from Tracy Avenue to Willson Avenue;
Tha t ,
said Commission Resolution No. 86 is now on file in the office of the
Clerk of the City Commission,
subject to inspection for a period of five
(5) days
by any person interested.
That Friday,
the 16th day of September, 1927, at 7:30
o'clock P.ll'. of said day, at the regular session of the said
City Commission of the
City of Bozeman, at the CommissIon Chamber in the City Hall Building
of said City,
has been designated as the time and place when and where the
said City Coromi ssion
will hear and pass upon any and all ob jections that may be made
to the final pas-

sage and adoption of said Resolution No. 86 and the levying of
said assessment, and
that said
Resolution will be finally passed and adopted at said regular session.
