Your current occupation: Server
Employer: Bridger Brewing
How long have you lived in the Bozeman Area?: >10 yr
Which position are you applying for?: Wetlands Review Board
City Limits: yes
Have you ever served on a City or County Board or Commission?: no
Please explain your relevant qualifications, interests and experiences.: Having grown up in Bozeman, I
have a great connection to our town and the landscape in and around it. I graduated from MSU last
December with a major in Physical Geography and Water Resources with aspirations to get into city
planning and/ or water resources management. This degree was focused on land use, physical
environments, and public policy. Collaborative projects, field work, and research were major
components of my degree. I chose to focus on water resources because of its great importance and the
growing contention over its use and distribution. Beyond my education, I have relevant hydrology
experience. I was a hydrology intern with the Forest Service out of the regional office in Missoula this
last summer, working out in the field as well as doing GIS work in the office. My field work included
velocity measurements, water surface elevation measurements, electro-fishing, stream habitat surveys,
and fish and plant identification.

Other Info: I feel passionate about smart development in Bozeman. We are at a time of fast growth, and
I believe that it can be accomplished in a way that is not harmful to the wetlands and other aquatic
environments that exist within our city limits. I have volunteered enough in Bozeman to know that I
highly enjoy serving our community, and being on a Citizen Advisory Board would be an honor.
