s. /1.. }::ENDENHALL was the first nmnager under the Commission-i,. anager form
of Government in the City of Bozeman, for the period commencing on the 2nd day
of l:!'ebruary, 1922, and ending on the 1st day of January, 1924, ancl has again
been :<anager> of the Oi ty of Bozeman for the period commencing on the 1st day of
January, 192Ei, and ending on the 1st day of July, 1929;
And the saiu3. A. Mendenhall, as such Kanager, during the formative period
of the Commission-Manager form of government in the City oi.' Bozeman, gave valuable
service;] to the City in ini tia ting and carrying out the ideas and princlles of tY.e
Manage{'ial form of government (the C1 ty of Bozeman buing the only City having
t~is form of government i~ the Stat~ of Kontana);
Anu during his second incumbency in said office for the period. aforesaid,
has given to the Ci t~{ of Bozeman an effic ient anu business-like ad:-:iinlSLra tion of
I the duties of the office, and by reason of personal bUf,Less has dee, med it necess-
ary to sever his connected with the City in order to devote his time to his
personal affairs, and tli.e Commission of the Ci ty of Bozeman regrets that Mr.
Mendenhall finds and determines that it is necessary to resign, and has resigned;

Tha t the Commission of' the Ci ty of Bozeman eXLend to Nil'. :Mendenhal1 its
appreciation for the work and ~3ervice that he has given to the City in performing
the duties of l;lanager, as herein set forth, and. that it regrets the fact that he
finds it necessary to no longer cont:inue as managing officer of the C1 ty;
And that a cOPl of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the
Commission, and. duly recorded, and a copy thereof presented to }Ilr. Mendenhall.
Passed and adop ted by the Commission of the Ci ty of Bozer:;an at a
regular session thereof, held on the 5th day of July, 1929.
