MINUTES OF APRIL 23, 2014 Motion and Vote to approve the minutes of April 23, 2014 as submitted. The motion passed unanimously. Ralph Zimmer thanked the city for furnishing ITEM 4 10:03:43 AM TCC COMMITTEE/MEMBER REPORTS & PROJECT UPDATES (Members of TCC who sit on other related committees, are invited to report on such activities that are of interest to the full TCC) A. Transit Committee Dan Martin said the buses are having a tough time changing routes and dealing with the downtown construction as it is continually changing. Craig Woolard said the Mendenhall project has been in the plans for years and they are doing weekly and daily updates on what is going on. There is a lot going on in a small space with both public and private projects. Mendenhall will take 2-3 weeks. They are making good progress on the milling. The construction on the hotel will occur until it opens next May. Dan Martin says they are getting reports in the morning. A lot of transfers take place at the downtown transfer. Problems there cause a major bind. Craig Woolard offered anything they can do to help get further information to the bus system. Dan Martin reported that the Streamline yearend fiscal report showed over 330,000 riders. They hit a million riders in 5 years and will hit 2 million in half that time. Late night service has been great. Skyline service was not disrupted too much by the construction in the canyon. Lee Provance said Galavan is averaging 100 to 140 rides per day. Dustin Rouse said if there is anything they can do to help they with communication let them know. They have been coordinating with Bozeman to post their construction information on the city construction site and MDT’s as well. He reported that the College project from Grand to 19th (full reconstruct), storm drain will be this coming fall with the full reconstruct next summer with the potential for work over the winter.
